Angler of the year:
The Angler of the Year title is given to the most dedicated, hard working angler who we think best represents Illini Bass Fishing Club values. The Angler of the Year title is decided primarily by the points leaderboard, but the executive team will make the ultimate decision. The following events and activities will earn a certain number of points to the Angler of the Year standings. At the end of the year, the top three finishers will receive a prize for their efforts.
Point Values:
Collegiate Tournaments:
50 Points for fishing collegiate tournament events
Major Collegiate Events (ACA, BASS, MLF)
75 Points for top 50%
100 Points for 25%
150 Points for top 10 finish
200 Points for top 5 finish
250 Points for tournament win
Note: For top 50%, top 25%, top 10 boat/individual finishes, only the top point value regarding your placement will be counted and added to your attendance (50 points). Therefore, any given boat or angler may earn a maximum of 275 points per event.
Club Tournaments:

Club Service/Participation:
125 Points for attending any of our club hosted tournaments (Bret Vogt Memorial, High School, and Illini Invitational)
20 points for winning local club outing competitions (Ex: Big bass of the day)
20 Points for executive board meeting attendance
75 Points for getting featured on sponsor social media
100 Points for winning catch of the semester
50 Points for fishing collegiate tournament events
- These points are for competing/attendance only, regardless of final standings
- The Bret Vogt Memorial Tournament counts
- All boats/individuals will receive points for competing in the event
- 75 points for second
- 50 points for third
- 25 points for fourth

- These points are for attendance only
- Points are also awarded for fishing the tournaments, see "Collegiate Tournaments" section above
- Caps at 5 acts, but members are encouraged to continue serving their own and our communities
- Must submit valid proof such as pictures, videos of your act
- The Executive Board must unanimously agree that the act is valid in order to an act to count for points

Catch of the semester:
At the end of every semester, the club will vote on what they think the best catch of the semester was. The submission deadline for fall 2024 is Sunday, December 1st, 11:59pm. To submit your catch, use the google form in the "Awards" channel in our club discord. The winner will receive an IBFC prize assortment containing lures, merch, and more!
Rules
- Everyone gets one submission (you can edit/change your submission anytime before the deadline)
- Fish must be caught within the state of Illinois
- Fish do NOT need to be caught during club outings
- Must provide proof the fish was caught during the semester (Use code "COTS24" in your picture for Fall 2024)
- Club vote will be held before the end of the semester
- Executive board will confirm the winner
- Ties will go to a revote
